Visa Assistance
So that our international colleagues may take part in the April International Academic Conference, they should obtain regular humanitarian visas, as per the requirements of the Federal Migration Service (FMS) and the legislation of the Russian Federation.
One of the main documents necessary for issuing a visa is the visa invitation. Conference participants may apply for this document via their personal accounts by accessing the section “Visa Assistance” and filling in all the fields of the form there, as well as attaching a scan of the bio-page of the visitor’s passport.
The copy of the passport bio-page should be sharp, with the visitor’s face clearly visible. Please make sure that the passport has at least six months of validity after the expiration of the planned Russian visa. The number of blank pages in the visitor’s passport should come to at least 4 double-page spreads.
Please carefully check the information in the application. Please double-check if the dates of your trip, the passport’s number and period of validity, and the city and country where the visa application will be made, are stated correctly in your application.
Please be aware that, once issued, the invitation cannot be changed. If incorrect information appears on a visa invitation, a new invitation will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis.
Important! Visa invitations are not visas for entry to the Russian Federation. In order to receive a visa, make sure you have a visa invitation and other required documents and contact the Consulate of the Russian Federation in your country of residence. We also recommend that you check the website of the Russian consulate for the rules for submitting documents and the timeframe for receiving visas as early as possible.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the Conference’s Organizing Committee at: interconf@hse.ru.
