XV April International Academic Conference on

Economic and Social Development

 

On April 1-4, 2014 in Moscow, the National Research University - Higher School of Economics (HSE) with support of the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund organizes the XV April International Academic Conference on Economic and Social Development. The Conference Program Committee is chaired by Professor Evgeny Yasin.

The plenary sessions of the Conference will feature senior Russian Government officials including representatives of the Presidential Administration, high-level representatives of the World Bank, the International Monetary Fund, the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the CEOs of several largest Russian and international companies.

Special topics of the conference are:

  • Governance: models, problems, challenges;
  • Cultural evolution and modernization;
  • Inequality and Economic Growth;
  • Varieties of Capitalism.

The plenary sessions, including selected honorary papers, sessions and round tables, will be devoted to (but not restricted on) the special issues of the Conference.

Session meetings and round tables will be held after the plenary sessions. Sessions and roundtables will focus on the following issues:

The working languages of the Conference are Russian and English. Simultaneous translation will be available during all plenary and most session meetings.
